A tobacco control researcher, Dr. Ryan David Kennedy’s takes his work personally. “I have kids,” he says. “And the last thing in the world you want is to think they might be exposed to or might decide to start using tobacco.”
Kennedy works at the Propel Centre for Population Health Impact, a research centre at the University of Waterloo. Funded in part by the Canadian Cancer Society, researchers at the Propel Centre work closely with the public health sector to identify and develop evidence that can support improved public health.
