Originally from Cold Lake, Alberta, I’m an award-winning freelance journalist and fact checker splitting my time between Canada, Australia and New Zealand. My writing has appeared in Chatelaine, enRoute, The Globe & Mail and The Toronto Staramongst others. I'm also the Contributing Editor of Verge Magazine.

With a background in international development, I'm best known for my travel writing, which focuses on sustainable tourism. No adventure is too big or too small, whether it's cycling across Tasmania, heli-fishing in crocodile-infested waters, or competing in Miss Universe Canada.

However, my areas of interest include health and post-secondary education. I've also got a knack for writing profiles. (Are you a non-profit or small business that needs a custom project completed? I'm your gal.)

My work has been recognized by TMAC, the Ontario Press Council and the Alberta Weekly Newspapers' Association. I'm a member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) and the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC).
